We specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma. However, we help clients work through many different struggles and life stressors.

We are an integrative practice, so we offer many different types of therapy and utilize the best fit for the client in front of us. Some of the types of therapy we offer are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Art Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), etc.

Usually, a sign that your therapist is a good fit for you is if you feel comfortable talking to them about your positive and negative life moments. Additionally, noticing positive improvements in your thinking patterns, behavior, and interactions with others, or a decrease in your anxiety, depression, and negative self-talk are good indicators.

If you have found that your therapist is not a good fit and you would like to switch to another one of our therapists, please discuss your concerns with your therapist first. If you still want to see someone different, please call the office at (501) 416-5263 to discuss your concerns. If another therapist is available, we will be happy to move you to someone who is a better fit for you.

During your intake appointment you will be given the opportunity to tell your therapist what factors led you to start therapy and what you would like to work on. You may be asked to describe your childhood, current stressors, or other relevant questions to help them to understand what the best course of treatment will be moving forward, and this will assist with your diagnosis and individualized treatment plan.

The course of treatment can vary depending on several factors. If you have a history of trauma, it is typically longer. Therapy sessions in our clinic usually lasts between 45-60 minutes. Some clients will likely do better with weekly sessions while others may be fine with biweekly. Your therapist will assess your unique situation and discuss with you what they believe will be best for your situation, and together you will decide what will work best.

Therapy has been proven to help individuals heal from childhood trauma. Therapy with a trauma-informed clinician who is trained to utilize at least one trauma-based therapeutic approach is key. Working through toxic family dynamics can be healed, but it takes effort and a strong dedication to change negative patterns (many are generational) that have impacted the family unit in a negative way.

We are dedicated to offering culturally responsive therapy. We specialize in working with people of color, but we work with people from many different backgrounds. We consider all unique aspects (race, sex, culture, sexuality, etc.) when developing a plan for our clients.

We offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
